Colorado’s tourism industry has seen growth in the past year as the state bounces back stronger than before the pandemic according to new reports. The Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) announced today that the state’s tourism industry is starting to bounce back with travel spending increasing 41.8 percent from $15.4 billion in 2020 to $21.9 billion in 2021.

The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced today two new grant programs designed to accelerate pandemic recovery in Colorado tourism destinations and the state’s outdoor recreation industry.

From drinking to recreating, water is one of the most important resources we have. As many are already aware, water is an especially limited resource in our great state of Colorado. We need to work together to not only conserve this precious resource, while also being able to enjoy it safely for recreational use.
The Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) is accepting applications for the Reimagine Destinations Program until June 7. The Reimagine Destinations Program assists Colorado tourism destinations to advance projects that foster the long-term resilience of the Colorado tourism industry. The CTO seeks to partner with awarded Colorado destination organizations by serving as their extended strategy and implementation team through this new program.
