GBD Programs and Funding
Advanced Industries Accelerator Programs
These grants support job creation and innovation for businesses creating advanced technologies and operating in one of Colorado’s seven advanced industries.
Colorado CHIPS Community Support Program
This suite of three grants provides Colorado communities funding to develop their semiconductor and advanced industry ecosystems. The three grants can be used to fund market studies, projects and programs, and marketing activities.
CHIPS Zones Program
This program provides eligible semiconductor companies access to specific types of Enterprise Zone income tax credits; Colorado municipalities and counties must establish a CHIPS Zone through application to the EDC before companies can access these benefits.
Export and International Programs
These programs support Colorado businesses looking to expand their reach globally.
Global Business Development's 2025 Trade Shows
Every year, the Global Business Development division selects strategic trade shows to showcase Colorado’s many economic strengths that are aligned with the state’s advanced industries. The benefit of attending a trade show with OEDIT is that all booth costs and exhibitor fees are paid, and companies that participate receive a travel stipend to attend the show.
Job Growth Incentive Tax Credit
This tax credit provides a state income tax that supports competitive, multi-state, or country relocation and expansion projects.
Trade and Investment Missions
Trade and investment missions promote foreign investment into Colorado and help Colorado companies become more globally competitive.
State Trade Expansion Program Grant
The State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) Grant helps small businesses expand internationally by funding international business development activities. The purpose of this grant is to offset the cost of expanding internationally for small businesses.
Strategic Fund Job Growth Incentive
The Strategic Fund Job Growth Incentive is for business expansion or relocation projects for which Colorado is in competition with at least one other state and the company has received a commitment of local government funding that matches any requested state government incentives. The incentive provides a cash payment over five years to companies that create and maintain new permanent jobs in Colorado.
