Promoting Statewide Access to Venture Funding: State Renews Partnership with Greater Colorado Venture Fund to Support Rural Businesses

Today, the Colorado Venture Capital Authority (VCA) and the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced that the VCA has renewed its partnership with Greater Colorado Venture Fund (GCVF) to expand access to venture capital for Colorado entrepreneurs and startup businesses. The VCA has committed $11,175,000 to GCVF, which has a proven track record of funding Colorado companies and creating jobs in the state’s rural communities.

Creating a Colorado Economy for All: New Grant Funding to Support Economic and Workforce Development in Colorado Coal Transition Communities

The Office of Just Transition (OJT), within the Colorado Department of Labor & Employment, and the Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT) are partnering to provide Coal Transition Community Grants to communities whose economies have traditionally relied on the coal industry. These grants are intended to support regional economic and workforce development activities that expand local business, create new good-paying jobs, and create more diversified and strong local economies.

Today, Governor Polis and the Global Business Development Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) formally announced that ThinkOrbital, a space infrastructure startup, has selected Colorado for its headquarters. In Colorado, ThinkOrbital will conduct research and development for its scalable, affordable and autonomously assembled space structures, the ThinkPlatform, that will accelerate the commercialization of the new space economy and advance Colorado’s growing role in that transformation.

Polis-Primavera Administration Announces Zivaro to Serve Space and Command Control Programs by Expanding in Colorado Springs

Today, Governor Polis, Lt. Governor Primavera, and the Global Business Development Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) formally announced that Zivaro, an information technology company that specializes in serving government and national defense partners, has selected Colorado Springs, Colorado for expansion. There, the company’s new business unit will focus on modernizing legacy systems that serve Space and Command Control Programs operated by and on behalf of the U.S. Government.

Colorado Tourism Office Gives $540,525 in Grants to 17 Colorado Organizations

The Colorado Tourism Office (CTO), a division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), announced today that its Matching Marketing Grants program has awarded more than $540,000 in grants to 17 Colorado organizations, from Moffat County to Custer County to Prowers County, all across the entire state, to aid in their marketing efforts.
