$8.5 million Advanced Industries Awards Accelerate 38 Colorado Startups and Researchers

Advances in healthcare technology, data security and intelligence, energy storage and manufacturing all received a boost this week from the Global Business Development division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) Advanced Industries Accelerator Grant Program. A total of $8,517,011 was approved for Proof-of-Concept and Early Stage Capital and Retention Grants to support Colorado’s advanced industries.

Colorado Creative Industries to Receive $867,500 Partnership Award from the National Endowment for the Arts

Colorado Creative Industries has been approved for an $867,500 National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Fiscal Year 2022 Partnership Agreement to address priorities identified at the state level. These funds will support the arts in areas such as cultural tourism, community revitalization, economic development, education, and health and human services.

Colorado Tourism Office Launches Reimagine Destinations Program to Foster Long-term Resilience of the Colorado Tourism Industry

The Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) is accepting applications for the Reimagine Destinations Program until June 7. The Reimagine Destinations Program assists Colorado tourism destinations to advance projects that foster the long-term resilience of the Colorado tourism industry. The CTO seeks to partner with awarded Colorado destination organizations by serving as their extended strategy and implementation team through this new program.

The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) and nationally ranked startup accelerator gener8tor announced today the five companies selected for the Spring 2022 cohort of the gBETA Opportunity Zone Capital Accelerator program. The businesses selected represent a wide variety of industries and verticals in Colorado, including the Western Slope, and ranging from software and cleantech to B2B2C e-commerce and outdoor recreation.

State of Colorado and Lower Austria Unite to Advance Economic, Scientific and Cultural Progress

DENVER – Today, Lieutenant Governor Dianne Primavera and the Governor of Lower Austria, Johanna Mikl-Leitner, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two states intended to deepen cultural ties and encourage scientific and technological collaboration that prioritizes climate protection and the sustainable use of resources.
