Celebrating Colorado’s Cultural Heritage Through Folk and Traditional Arts Projects

The Colorado Creative Industries (CCI) Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced today that 21 artists and art organizations across Colorado have been awarded Folk and Traditional Arts Project Grants. From Phillips to Delta counties and Huerfano to Denver counties, these grants will help preserve, celebrate and document the local artistic traditions and heritage of unique Colorado communities.

Governor Polis Celebrates Colorado Cannabis Industry, Joins Cannabis Business Office in Launching Pilot Access to Experts Program

Today, Governor Polis and the Cannabis Business Office (CBO) within the Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT) announced a pilot program to support Colorado’s social equity licensed cannabis businesses as they grow. The Governor announced the new pilot, Access to Experts, at the Minority Cannabis Business Association (MCBA) Equity Workshop Tour, which focused on the importance of Colorado’s diverse cannabis industry.

Creating New Jobs: Three Businesses Expand in Pueblo County Through Rural Jump-Start Program

DENVER — Today, Governor Polis and the Business Funding & Incentives Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT) announced the first three businesses to join the Rural Jump-Start (RJS) program in Pueblo County: AMCON Distributing Company, Ask Oracle and Fomcore. Collectively, these companies expect to create 59 full time jobs above the average annual wage in Pueblo County.

These grants will be paired with training and consultation for 58 unique, independently-owned small businesses in Colorado that are culturally, socially, or historically significant and serve their communities in meaningful ways.

New High Tech Jobs: Polis Administration Announces Scythe Robotics Expansion in Colorado

DENVER – Today, Governor Polis and the Global Business Development Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced that Scythe Robotics, a producer of advanced, commercial-grade autonomous solutions for the landscape industry, has selected Longmont, Colorado for expansion. The company has expanded its Boulder County headquarters and manufacturing facility to meet growing demand for its all electric, fully autonomous commercial mower.
