The Minority Business Office of Colorado (MBO) joins World Trade Center Denver in supporting its launch of the Global Trade Activator program. 

DENVER - Governor Polis and the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) today announced #ShopLocalColorado to support Colorado small businesses in advance of the holiday shopping season.

Veteran entrepreneurs looking to start or grow a business are invited to attend the 14th Annual Veteran’s Small Business Conference, November 5. New this year, the event will be a full day of virtual events. 

The conference will run from 8 am to 2:30 pm and will offer a variety of training and resources in three tracks as well as a discussion forum. The tracks are Start-Up, Growth, and Contracting & Certifications.

Countless Colorado small businesses, the backbone of the state’s economy, face unprecedented operational challenges due to the economic impact of the COVID-19 emergency. The wide-ranging impact of the pandemic on local businesses poses a broad range of legal questions that further strains their limited resources.

The Colorado Small Business Development Center Network, a division of the Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), will celebrate National SBDC Day on Thursday, March 18 with a series of events. 

Located within the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, the Business Development & Rural Prosperity division supports the economic development needs of rural communities and small business throughout Colorado. 

Each year, the Minority Business Office of Colorado (MBO) awards grants to up to ten minority, veteran and women-owned businesses that show great potential for branching out into international markets or expanding their existing international markets to other regions.

The U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) National SBIR Road Tour is coming to Boulder, Colorado, on August 16, 2019, as part of a 16-stop tour to connect entrepreneurs working on advanced technology to the country’s largest source of early-stage funding – the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. Also known as America’s Seed Fund, the SBIR/STTR programs focus on next-generation research & development and is led by the SBA with 11 participating federal agencies.

The Colorado Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network announced today the opening of its fifteenth full-time center, the Central Mountain Small Business Development Center headquartered in Salida, Colorado.
