Colorado Tourism Office Awards $289,537 in Tourism Management Grants

15 grants will support Colorado destinations as they recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic

The Colorado Tourism Office (CTO), a division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), announced today the recipients of its Tourism Management Grant. The Tourism Management Grant provides funding for tourism-related projects that develop, enhance or manage visitor experience in Colorado.

Bluestaq Selects Colorado for Large-Scale Expansion

The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) Global Business Development (GBD) division announced today that Bluestaq, an enterprise software development firm dominant in the aerospace industry, has selected Colorado for its large-scale expansion.

Based currently in downtown Colorado Springs, Bluestaq specializes in data management systems and data analytics and builds highly secure enterprise software solutions for storing, managing and sharing data.

Economic Development: Polis Administration Launches Applications for Cannabis Business Office Pilot Grant

The Polis Administration today announced the Cannabis Business Office’s Cannabis Business Pilot Grant, a bold, forward-thinking initiative to save small businesses money, foster a more equitable cannabis industry, and make it easier for Coloradans to thrive in one of the state’s fastest growing industries.

“Colorado’s nation-leading innovations in the cannabis industry are strengthening our economy, advancing diversity, and inclusion, and saving small business owners money,” said Gov. Polis.

OEDIT Adjusts Division Organization to Better Serve Rural Communities

OEDIT announces Rural Opportunity Office as standalone division

The Rural Opportunity Office (ROO) at the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) is transitioning from a subdivision of the Business Support division to a free-standing division to increase support for rural communities across Colorado. With this transition, Katharina Papenbrock has been promoted to division director and will continue to serve as the rural representative for the western region of the state.

14 Artists Awarded $217,000 in Cycle B of Colorado Creative Corps ARP Grant

DENVER -- Colorado Creative Industries, a division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), announced today that 14 grantees have been awarded $217,000 in American Rescue Plan funding through Cycle B of the Colorado Creative Corps ARP grant. This funding initiative is supported through Colorado’s partnership agreement with the National Endowment for the Arts.

$1 million Advanced Industries Awards Support Five Colorado Accelerator Programs

The Advanced Industries Accelerator (AIA) Program announced today that five Colorado accelerator programs were approved to receive a Business Accelerator Grant for a total of $1,078,454 in funding (full awardee list below).

This one-time grant opportunity was opened to new and existing Colorado accelerator programs serving early-stage companies in the advanced industries. The funding is meant to accelerate the commercialization and innovation of advanced industries technologies and companies through education, resources, and mentorship.
