“Over the last ten years, 54 percent of wildfires have been caused by humans, while the rest,  46 percent, have been ignited by lightning.” U.S. Forest Service 

We, in Colorado, certainly understand the devastation that wildfires can create. The current hot, dry, windy weather is causing concern about critical fire conditions across the state. Ancillary effects of past fire damage, such as mudslides and floods, are also impacting portions of Colorado.

DENVER – July 27, 2021

The Tourism Council of Carbondale was approved to participate in the Colorado Tourism Office’s Restart Destinations Program in July 2021. The Tourism Council of Carbondale applied on behalf of the Roaring Fork Valley core team, now formalized as the Roaring Fork Destination Alliance (RFVDA).

The Canyons and Plains Regional Heritage Task Force (Canyons & Plains) was approved to participate in the Restart Destinations Program by the Colorado Tourism Office in July 2021. Program objectives included: 

DENVER, CO – July 22, 2021 – The Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) today announced it has entered into a first-of-its-kind partnership with Inclusive Journeys to launch the Inclusive Guide, an online community that lists safe and welcoming spaces for anyone who faces prejudice.

The Lake County Tourism Panel (LCTP) was approved to participate in the Restart Destinations Program by the Colorado Tourism Office in July 2021. Program objectives included: 

Bicycle Colorado was approved to participate in the Restart Industry Associations Program by the Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) in September 2021.

Visit Fort Collins (VFC) approved to participate in the Restart Destinations Program by the Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) in July 2021. Program objectives included:
