Etsy Names Pueblo a 2019 Maker Cities Grantee

Coloradans have a knack for discovering their passion and utilizing it to support an economic future. Pueblo is one of the many examples of communities that have found this balance and are being recognized for it. 

Pueblo was recently named a 2019 Maker Cities Grantee by Etsy. The Maker Cities initiative seeks to unlock the potential of creative entrepreneurship to drive local economic development, revitalize cities and help traditionally underrepresented groups participate in the creative economy.

Business Education Program Offers a Fresh Start to Colorado’s Recently Incarcerated

Colorado boasts one of the top economies in the United States. The state’s industry diversity was a key to Colorado being the last state to enter the 2008 recession and the first state to come out of it. Part of this success comes from ensuring that economic opportunities are accessible to all Coloradans. To do this, the Colorado Small Business Development Center (SBDC) network offers a variety of programs and resources throughout the state. 

Colorado SBDC hosts 4th Annual Northern Colorado Women’s Conference on October 3 in Loveland, CO

The Colorado Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is hosting the 4th Annual Northern Colorado Women’s Conference on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the Ranch Events Complex in Loveland, CO. This all-day conference runs 7:30 am to 6 pm and offers breakout sessions, keynote speakers, one-on-one counseling and networking opportunities.

SBA’s National SBIR Road Tour Coming to Boulder, Colorado

The U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) National SBIR Road Tour is coming to Boulder, Colorado, on August 16, 2019, as part of a 16-stop tour to connect entrepreneurs working on advanced technology to the country’s largest source of early-stage funding – the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. Also known as America’s Seed Fund, the SBIR/STTR programs focus on next-generation research & development and is led by the SBA with 11 participating federal agencies.
