Today, the Colorado Office of Film, Television and Media (COFTM), a division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), announced that a new feature film exploring the history of Denver’s Tracks nightclub has been approved for a Colorado Film Incentive. Making Tracks is a narrative feature film that tells the story of the legendary Denver gay nightclub.

High Science is an unscripted reality television show focusing on the business, science, and people behind cannabis companies as well as the development of cannabis products.

Documentary featuring Denver Rustlers to premiere on PBS12

A documentary featuring the Denver Rustlers and the Colorado State Fair Champion Junior Livestock Sale will air on PBS12 this Friday, August 26 at 9 p.m. The half-hour documentary, Denver Rustlers, was produced through the Colorado Office of Film, Television and Media (COFTM) and celebrates a 38-year tradition of helping Colorado’s young farmers and ranchers showcase their livestock to earn money for college.

The Engagement Plot, filmed in Colorado Springs, to premiere on UPTV August 21

A 2022 production filmed primarily in Colorado Springs will premiere on UPTV August 21. The Engagement Plot, executive produced by Jim Janicek from Janicek Media, Brian Bird, Access Media Group, True Brand, and Offspring Productions, received a film incentive from the Colorado Office of Film, Television and Media (COFTM) to offset production expenses and support the state’s film industry.

There’s a certain kind of excitement that comes with seeing your home state in a movie or television show. Colorado Springs residents might be able to relate when they recognize some of the locations in two 2022 film productions, The Engagement Plot and The Happy Camper. Both were filmed primarily in Colorado Springs and were supported by OEDIT’s Office of Film, Television and Media (COFTM). Every year there are over 50 film festivals in Colorado, and the Colorado Office of Fim, Television and Media provides fiscal sponsorships for about 40 of them. While many are well established with decades of festivals under their belts, many new festivals are started every year to meet the needs of local communities and showcase specific local, national, and international artists and filmmakers.
