Chaffee County Regional Film Office Opens

The Colorado Office of Film, Television and Media (COFTM), a division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT), is excited to announce the opening of the Chaffee County Regional Film Office. The commission, led by Emmy Award Winning Filmmaker Julie Speer Jackson, will work to develop the local media ecosystem by offering opportunities for professional development through networking events, workshops, and crew and vendor databases specific to the community. 

Premiering this Week: Tomorrow’s Talent Today Highlights Power of Modern Youth Apprenticeships

A documentary demonstrating the power of modern youth apprenticeship programs to create new career pathways will air on PBS12 this week. The half-hour film, Tomorrow’s Talent Today, was produced with support from the Colorado Office of Film, Television and Media (COFTM), the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) and CareerWise Colorado, and highlights the experiences of two CareerWise Colorado apprentices at Pinnacol Assurance.

Documentary featuring Denver Rustlers to premiere on PBS12

A documentary featuring the Denver Rustlers and the Colorado State Fair Champion Junior Livestock Sale will air on PBS12 this Friday, August 26 at 9 p.m. The half-hour documentary, Denver Rustlers, was produced through the Colorado Office of Film, Television and Media (COFTM) and celebrates a 38-year tradition of helping Colorado’s young farmers and ranchers showcase their livestock to earn money for college.

Film incentives bring jobs and local spending to Colorado Springs

There’s a certain kind of excitement that comes with seeing your home state in a movie or television show. Colorado Springs residents might be able to relate when they recognize some of the locations in two 2022 film productions, The Engagement Plot and The Happy Camper. Both were filmed primarily in Colorado Springs and were supported by OEDIT’s Office of Film, Television and Media (COFTM). At the Film Office, we’ve seen how the benefits of local film production go beyond hometown pride.

Colorado Film Incentive Supports Raven and Blackjack TV Pilot

Fantasy Sci-Fi Western TV Pilot Wraps Production in Colorado

A new, local television production has finished filming in Colorado. In November 2021, production wrapped on Raven and Blackjack. One of many local productions the Colorado Office of Film, Television and Media has incentivized in the last year, the Raven and Blackjack pilot is a fantasy, sci-fi western set in Colorado. The 30-minute pilot utilized multiple filming locations along the front range and in rural Colorado, including trails in Georgetown, the Georgetown Railroad and a private horse ranch in Boulder.
