Minority Business Office to Host Second Virtual Advance Colorado Procurement Expo

Virtual event designed to help bring businesses and agency buyers together

DENVER--The Minority Business Office of Colorado will host their second virtual Advance Colorado Procurement Expo on October 7, 2021.

The Advance Colorado Procurement Expo is an annual day-long event for businesses to showcase their goods and services to local and state government agencies, attend workshops and network.

In the best interest of public safety, the 2021 expo is transitioning to a virtual format. The virtual event allows registrants to attend workshops, participate in roundtables and network via a virtual exhibiting platform.

The virtual expo is free to register for and open to all businesses, including those owned by women, minorities and veterans. The virtual event will feature remarks from partners and event hosts including Governor Polis, workshop opportunities, virtual exhibiting and roundtable discussions with procurement experts.

The agenda is as follows:

  • 9am to 9:15am | Welcome Remarks
  • 9:15am to 10am | Workshop Sessions
  • 10:05am to 10:50am | Workshop Sessions
  • 11am to 11:55am | Live Roundtable Discussions with Agency Buyers
  • 11:55am to 12pm | Closing Remarks

The event includes panelists representing government agencies, business support organizations and success stories to discuss contracting, procurement and certification.

Businesses and agency buyers may participate in the event to whatever extent best meets their needs. General admission is free and those who would like to virtually exhibit may do so via the virtual exhibition platform for the event. Agency buyers may also choose to host a roundtable discussion to provide answers to businesses’ questions on the topics of procurement, winning contracts, being a competitive bidder and other topics businesses want to learn about during this event.

“We are pleased to have pivoted this event to a virtual platform so our businesses and agency buyers may continue to network and connect,” said Antonio Soto, Director of the Minority Business Office. “This event will offer valuable insights into the procurement process, and we encourage and welcome all businesses to participate to learn all they can throughout the expo.”
