These features enable personalized radiation treatment based on the patient’s anatomy as well as the ability to escalate the dose, resulting in improved patient outcomes, reduced treatment times and fewer side-effects than traditional radiation therapy.
On April 18, 2019, the Economic Development Commission approved a Job Growth Incentive Tax Credit, submitted by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), to bring 274 new jobs to Colorado over the next eight years. ViewRay currently has offices in Cleveland, OH and Mountain View, CA.
Bioscience is one of 14 key industries that OEDIT focuses on to diversify and support Colorado’s economy. It is one of seven advanced industries fields which also includes advanced manufacturing, aerospace, electronics, energy and natural resources, technology and information and infrastructure engineering.
According to EMSI, bioscience jobs in Colorado grew by 19.2% in the last five years - outpacing the national growth rate of 13.2%. Currently, there are 30, 207 jobs in bioscience in Colorado, 2% over the national average.
Colorado is home to one of the largest concentrations of federally funded science and research labs in the nation and is home to a dense pool of talent in the STEM workforce.
