March 2023: EDC Approved Job Growth Incentive Tax Credit and Strategic Fund Projects

The following projects were approved at the February 2023 Colorado Economic Development Commission meeting. The Colorado Economic Development Commission (EDC) develops incentive packages to assist with existing business expansions and new company relocations to grow jobs in all regions of the state. They typically meet on the third Thursday of every month.

Polis Administration Announces Amprius Technologies Inc. Chooses Brighton, Colorado for New Gigawatt-Scale Lithium-Ion Factory

Governor Polis and the Global Business Development Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) formally announced today that Amprius Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:AMPX), a leader in lithium-ion batteries with its Silicon Anode Platform, has signed a letter of intent for a 775,000 square foot facility in Brighton, Colorado. Amprius plans to establish a gigawatt scale factory to support lithium-ion battery production for the U.S. electric mobility market.

Governor Polis and the Global Business Development Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) formally announced today that Agilent, an American life sciences company, has selected Frederick, Colorado in Weld County for expansion. Agilent is a global leader in life science research, patient diagnostics and testing that ensures the safety of water, food and pharmaceuticals. By expanding in Colorado, the company will help advance a bioscience and life sciences sector that is among the best in the nation.

Polis Administration Secures Asteroid Mining Company for Denver Expansion

Today, the Polis Administration and the Global Business Development Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced that space resources startup Karman+ has selected Denver for relocation from the Netherlands. The Karman+ team is working to enable the mining of near-earth asteroids for mineral resources that are carbon neutral and sustainable.

Under the Polis administration, Colorado has secured many new business headquarters that will create good-paying jobs for Coloradans.
