Creative Capitol Exhibit: The Clear Creek Watershed

The Clear Creek Watershed has been selected for the Creative Capitol Exhibition. The exhibit will be active from October 2016 to March 2017.

The photographs included in this exhibition at the state capitol complex were chosen from the entries in the Clear Creek Land Conservancy Annual Photography Contest. The artworks were selected by William Sutton, a professor of Photography at Regis College and a recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship in the Creative Arts. Photographers entered photographs taken in the Clear Creek drainage basin of Colorado that highlight the exquisite natural areas that run from the mouth of Clear Creek Canyon in Golden to the start of Clear Creek at the Continental Divide. The winning photographs are displayed in the rotunda of the Capitol and the photographs chosen as finalists are shown throughout the rest of the Capitol Building and the Legislative Services Building. Photographers range from amateur to professional and showcase some of the wonderful creative talent found in Colorado.
