Susana Salamun is the Director of Staff Development for Alpine Bank, member FDIC. She acts as the strategic and administrative leader of Alpine Bank's ongoing efforts to help its employees reach their highest potential and advancement in the organization.

Born and raised in Mexico, Susana holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education. While in Mexico, Susana worked as a computer science professor. She moved to Colorado in 2012 and transitioned her career from engineering to banking, and has worked in electronic banking, compliance, information technology, inclusion and engagement and development for Alpine Bank. She translates banking resources into Spanish, and has voiced radio and TV ads in Spanish. Susana puts her leadership and interpersonal skills to work in the company and the community, sharing the concepts of self-learning, self-motivation, collaboration, coaching, communication, time management and adaptability. 

Susana has participated as guest speaker for: Women in Banking Leadership Panel with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Banker’s Bank of the West Payment Conference, PowHER Up For Success in Battle Mountain High School, the Western Colorado Latino Chamber of Commerce, Immigrant Voices, GlenX Career Expo, Coventure, Miss Strawberry Days contestants, Denver Community College and Rifle High School. She also serves on the board of directors for the Aspen Community Foundation, the State of Colorado Minority Business Advisory Council, B:Side, and the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado. 

Susana lives in Evergreen with her husband Andrew and son Sawyer. She pursues challenging opportunities that help her grow personally and professionally. In her free time she enjoys traveling, hiking, and playing piano. Susana believes in leading by example and being a positive influence. Her passions include helping people, caring for others and playing an active role in her community.
