Outdoor Recreation Industry Office Regional Alliances

Outdoor Recreation Industry Office (OREC) Regional Alliances bring together people with diverse outdoor recreation interests who are committed to growing Colorado’s outdoor recreation industry, conserving public lands and waters, and strengthening the outdoor recreation economy in rural parts of the state.

Regional alliances help:

  • promote investment, innovation, and collaboration to grow the outdoor recreation industry
  • inform programs and policies with input from local communities and stakeholders
  • amplify OREC’s mission, vision, priority areas, and values

The Colorado Outdoor Recreation Industry Office has five established regional alliances.

Outdoor Recreation Coalition of the Grand Valley

The Outdoor Recreation Coalition of the Grand Valley’s mission is to expand and enhance the economy of the Grand Valley through collaborative support and helping outdoor recreation businesses promote themselves.

Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance

Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance is a collaborative of outdoor businesses, nonprofits, government entities and individuals who recognize the value of their region’s natural and recreation assets to their community, both as an economic driver and for the health and well-being and the strength found in working together. PPORA’s mission is to strengthen the outdoor recreation industry for the Pikes Peak region through leadership and collaboration.

San Luis Valley Great Outdoors Coalition

The San Luis Valley Great Outdoors Coalition’s mission is to provide residents and visitors throughout the San Luis Valley with accessible and inclusive outdoor recreation opportunities that connect communities, improve wellness, encourage stewardship, and contribute to the economic vitality of the region.

Southwest Colorado Outdoor Recreation Alliance

The Southwest Colorado Outdoor Recreation Alliance seeks to promote the outdoor recreation economy. In working toward the sustainability and vibrancy of the outdoor recreation economy, they provide resources and inspiration to locals and visitors to southwest Colorado. The Alliance’s goal is to create a platform for members to have their individual voices heard at the state level and communicate opinions with civility and respect.

Trinidad Office of Outdoor Recreation

The Vision of the Trinidad Office of Outdoor Recreation is to establish the City of Trinidad as the outdoor recreation hub of southern Colorado and northeastern New Mexico. The mission of the office is to enhance the economy of Trinidad and the quality of life for regional residents and visitors by providing and promoting quality outdoor recreation assets, programs and events.
