Retired Public Finance Lawyer

Mike Johnson is a retired public finance lawyer. Before retiring in 2020, his clients included the Colorado State Treasurer, the Colorado Department of Transportation, a wide variety of Colorado local governments and the lead lender/syndicator for the financing of more than 50,000 units of affordable housing throughout the United States. Mike currently serves on the boards of the Fraser River Valley Housing Partnership, a local housing authority developing workforce housing in Grand County, and the Grand County Library District, and previously served as a member of the Denver School Board, the Colorado Association of School Boards and committees that advise Colorado elected officials on legal and financial issues regarding state-wide transportation, the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Association and the Colorado State Land Board.
