Eric Guttormson joined First Southwest Bank in Oct 2023 and is responsible for strategic direction and leadership of revenue growth that is both profitable and has a positive social or environmental impact. Eric leads lending, marketing, CDFI (Community Development Financial Institution), and CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) teams at First Southwest Bank. Eric spent the past seven years at Sunrise Banks in Minnesota, A CDFI Bank focused on financial empowerment, where he grew as a Commercial Credit Analyst, Commercial Portfolio Manager, Commercial Loan Officer, and Commercial Loan Manager.
Eric finds fulfillment in continued learning and innovating new lending initiatives, while growing existing lending initiatives including Ag, workforce housing, small business, and new market tax credit lending. Eric was appointed to the Colorado Employee Ownership Commission in June 2025 and volunteers with Music in the Mountains in Durango, CO.
Eric is a spouse (Andrea) and father of two young children (Odin and Ovidia). Eric enjoys riding horses with his daughter, hiking with his son, backpacking with his family, good music, and local restaurants.
