Andrea is a cultural anthropologist, entrepreneur, and journalist with over 20 years of experience in business, research, and reporting on labor, economic justice, and worker rights. She is the Founder and Lead Researcher at Worker Equity Lab, where she is currently studying shared ownership and its impact on economic security.

Before transitioning to academic, research, and policy work, she held leadership roles in the technology and SaaS industries. As the founder of Think Better Marketing, she and her team served B2B SaaS clients, helping them scale through strategic marketing and communications.

As an award-winning journalist, she covers labor, economic issues, and the care economy, contributing to publications focused on the intersection of policy and business. Her solutions journalism brings attention to issues such as the impacts of private equity, economic development solutions, and centering workers to create more equitable economies.

Her firsthand experience as a business owner gives her unique insight into the systemic issues workers face. This, combined with her expertise in anthropology, business, and communications, allows her to bridge the gap between business leadership and economic justice in her work to democratize the economy.

She holds an M.A. in Anthropology, an M.S. in Business, and a Bachelor's in Journalism, all from the University of Colorado.
