Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade debuts website

New site dedicated to in-state economic needs as sharpens its focus on external business attraction and investment

DENVER -- The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) has launched its new website,, dedicated to serving Colorado’s collective economic needs.

Previously, OEDIT’s varied economic programs were housed in seven unit-specific websites, but now combines all of those OEDIT websites and programs into one easy-to-navigate site.

“Our office serves two distinct audiences -- external businesses looking to move or expand in Colorado, and in-state stakeholders seeking economic or technical support,” said OEDIT Executive Director Betsy Markey. “The launch of allows us to serve the economic needs of our in-state audience more efficiently and fulfill Governor Polis’ commitment to make government easier and more accessible.”

The new website features a one-stop searchable directory of over 150 OEDIT programs and funding opportunities. Previously, businesses had to go to one site for tourism support, another site for minority business support and yet another site for small business development support, even if they qualified for all. The new site combines all programs and units of OEDIT into one site, making human-centered design the core of its functionality.

Small businesses are facing unparalleled challenges during this pandemic. By creating a new website focused on improving user experience, OEDIT is increasing access for Coloradans and lowering barriers to entry to all programs and funding opportunities.

The existing site will be dedicated to out-of-state business attraction and investment, with a seamless transition to for programmatic support.

“ is for just that; businesses we want to choose Colorado,” said Lena Gerber, digital marketing manager at OEDIT who led the redesign. “The site is for businesses who have already chosen Colorado and are looking for the myriad types of support that we offer. This new site lowers barriers and improves transparency around eligibility for all programs.”
