Finalists Announced for 2020 Arts in Society Grants

RedLine is excited to announce 52 finalists who will submit full proposals to be considered for Arts in Society grants in the coming year. The Arts in Society grant-making program fosters cross-sector work through the arts by funding projects that utilize art to address social issues and community needs across Colorado, and is a collaboration between Bonfils-Stanton Foundation, Colorado Creative Industries, Hemera Foundation, the SCFD, and The Colorado Health Foundation in partnership with RedLine Contemporary Art Center. Now in its 4th year, Arts in Society has to date provided financial support to 67 individual artists and organizations who have utilized the arts in innovative ways to illuminate and address a wide array of civic, health, and social issues in Colorado communities through public artworks, performances, exhibitions, workshops, and community programs.

This year, the program received over 250 initial LOI’s from which 52 finalists have been chosen to submit full proposals. In May 2020, Arts in Society will distribute a total of $549,750 in grant funds to around 25 projects. Grants will range in size from between $5,000-$50,000. In addition to funding, individuals and organizations receiving grants will receive ongoing organizational support through their participation in a grantee learning community program.
