U.S. Small Business Administration Awards Colorado $900,000 STEP Grant to Spur Small Business Exports

DENVER — The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has awarded the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) a $900,000 State Trade and Expansion Program (STEP) grant to promote international exports for small businesses. This is a $200,000 increase from OEDIT’s 2023 award, and the highest ever awarded to the state.

OEDIT to attend the Green Expo 2021

Colorado companies to attend international export trade show in Mexico City, Mexico.

DENVER -- The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) will attend the Green Expo, a leading renewable energy and cleantech show that attracts buyers from the Latin American region. 

More than 200 exhibitors and 15,000 attendees are expected at the three-day trade show including well-established companies and young startups.

U.S. Small Business Administration Awards Colorado $700,000 STEP Grant to Spur Small Business Exports

DENVER -- The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has awarded the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) a $700,000 State Trade and Expansion Program (STEP) grant to promote international exports for small businesses. 

The State of Colorado has steadily increased its STEP funding since its inception. In 2015, Colorado received $195,938 and in 2019, it received $480,000. The $700,000 this year represents a nearly 46% increase in funding.
