Anne Scott: Creative Career Advancement Grantee

Anne Scott is an exemplary Colorado creative who is based in the Pueblo Creative Corridor. Not only is Anne an active artist in a Colorado Creative District, she received a competitive Creative Career Advancement Grant from the Colorado Creative Industries with the strategic focal point of fashion arts.

Through that award, Anne developed a Worn Majesty project that focuses on providing sustainable women’s clothing made from hemp. The project’s purpose is to encourage redesign and experimentation with previous fashion concepts. On top of her involvement with Colorado Creative Industries, she received a scholarship to attend the Small Business Leading Edge Training through the Colorado Small Business Development Center. This is an eleven week program that offers entrepreneur training and business plan development technical assistance. Anne Scott is one of many creatives inspiring Colorado.

“Through the love of fashion and nature, it is my goal to provoke a social conscience by creating things driven by design and awareness. Using environmentally thoughtful textiles (i.e…hemp and organic cotton) along with repurposed fabrics, I create opulent clothing for women. I have chosen to use fashion and art as a way of enhancing lifestyles and chartering important messages.” — Anne Scott
