DENVER - Today Governor Polis announced that Elsmere Education, an educational technology company, has chosen to expand its operations in Colorado, adding 138 new jobs over the next eight years.
“It’s great to see Colorado small businesses succeed and expand as we build back better than before the pandemic. Our amazing state is the best place to live, work and run a business,” said Governor Jared Polis. “Elsmere Education, a fast-growing, innovative company, will bring high-paying jobs in the education technology sector, which is well-positioned for strong future growth.”
Elsmere Education partners with colleges and universities to research, develop, launch and market in-demand graduate programs. With proven expertise in program management, market analysis, marketing, recruiting and retention services coupled with extensive technical knowledge, Elsmere Education helps partners identify unique markets and develop high-quality offerings to serve students in these fields.
Founded in 2012 by Justin McMorrow in his home, the company has experienced strong growth, adding 60 jobs in 2020 during the pandemic. This strong growth is expected to continue in the coming years. As the company was outgrowing its office space in Denver last year, it began to consider other markets, specifically Houston where McMorrow grew up.
“While Houston was tempting for personal reasons, we ultimately decided that Colorado offered the best opportunity for growth and access to the talent pool we will need,” said McMorrow.
As Elsmere plans for this expansion, they will stay in Denver. The 138 jobs will have an average annual wage of $85,490 which is 114 percent of the average annual wage in Denver County. The jobs will include operations support, administration, marketing and management.
