The Colorado Outdoor Recreation Industry Office works closely with industry stakeholders, trade associations and educational partners in our role as convenor and representative of the industry as a whole.  We participate on numerous committees, coalitions and collaboratives to help establish and execute our vision for Colorado’s outdoor recreation economy.

Confluence of States
The Confluence of States is a bipartisan organization developing a national platform to grow the outdoor recreation industry, protect our nation's wild places, and transform conservation into a driver for economic prosperity.

Colorado Outdoor Partnership
The Colorado Outdoor Partnership​ is a collaborative of leaders across the state of Colorado working to ensure our private and public lands are viable to support our wildlife, outdoor and agricultural heritage, and economic well-being for generations to come.

NoCoPLACES 2050 collaborates to protect and conserve natural and cultural resources in Colorado while providing equitable access and a quality recreation experience for current and future generations.

For the Love Of Colorado
For the Love Of Colorado provides resources and information related to Colorado’s Water Plan. The Colorado Water Plan is a comprehensive approach to solving our water gap. The plan was developed with the input of 30,000 farmers, scientists, and citizens from every corner of the state.

The Wright is a community of doers, celebrating independent-minded men and women creating the products and experiences that draw us into the outdoors.

National Governors Association Outdoor Recreation Learning Network
The National Governors Association Outdoor Recreation Learning Network helps governors and their outdoor recreation staff explore strategies to leverage their unique natural, cultural and historical resources to improve access to and help promote economic, social, and environmental benefits.

Rocky Mountain Restoration Initiative
The Rocky Mountain Restoration Initiative is a new stakeholder-driven collaborative aimed at increasing the resilience of our forests, habitat, communities, recreation opportunities, and water resources across all lands in the Rocky Mountains.

Recreate Responsibly Coalition
The Recreate Responsibly Coalition is an active coalition of over 1,000 businesses, agencies, nonprofits and influential voices, developing and sharing best practices to protect each other and our natural landscapes. We are brought together by a shared love of the outdoors and a desire to help everyone experience the benefits of nature safely during this public health crisis. 

Care for Colorado
The Care for Colorado Coalition is an alliance of more than 20 statewide organizations and federal land managers dedicated to educating Coloradans and visitors to protect the state’s extraordinary natural and cultural resources. 

Inclusion on the Slopes
Inclusion on the slopes is a business that concentrates on developing relationship abilities in the ski industry.

Society of Outdoor Recreation Professionals
The Society of Outdoor Recreation Professionals is the nation’s leading association of outdoor recreation and related professionals who strive to protect our natural and cultural resources while providing sustainable recreation access.

Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education
The Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education (AORE) is an organization dedicated to serving the needs of recreation and education professionals in non-profit settings. AORE is committed to promoting ecologically sound stewardship of the natural environment and serves as a collective voice for its members regarding topics of regional and national concern.

The University of Colorado Boulder
The Masters of the Environment Graduate Program at the University of Colorado Boulder is an innovative, interdisciplinary professional master’s degree that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to address the complex environmental challenges of the 21st century.

Western Colorado University
Western’s Outdoor Industry MBA is a two-year program which includes an MBA core as well as specialized tracks for either the product or service side of the outdoor recreation industry. The MBA core includes traditional MBA courses with content focusing on the outdoor industry.

Colorado Mesa University
Colorado Mesa University’s Outdoor Recreation Industry Studies program is a pursuit to become a well-rounded expert in the outdoor recreation industry, which includes businesses, product developers, innovators, entrepreneurs and service providers.

Colorado Mountain College
For 22 years, CMC's outdoor adventure degree program has been transforming students into leaders. Students interested in an outdoor recreation degree can get the skills and knowledge to develop and lead people in the outdoors with our two-year outdoor education program.
